Welcome Data Analytics students!

This research guide contains helpful information and suggested data sources for analysis. You will find five pages within the guide, each containing several sources where you can find and download raw (non-aggregated) datasets. Use the menu tabs on the left to navigate through the guide.

You can either use the sources listed in this guide to find datasets, or you can use the instructions and information provided to help you search efficiently for datasets that are not on the list.

The quality of the datasets found by dataset search engines is not guaranteed. You will still need to navigate through the source webpage(s) found by the search engine to find the raw data files needed for analysis. It may be simpler to start with one of the sources detailed under the other pages instead of a search engine.

Each source listed in this guide contains detailed instructions for finding and accessing datasets. It is your responsibility to ensure that the datasets are appropriate for your purposes and that you download all necessary material (i.e., data and codebooks). Each source has been reviewed and should have CSV, Excel, or Access files available to download.
