Fun Fact: For a number of years, Redeemer's cafeteria would offer a free bowl of soup for lunch to any student that presented their student ID card. |
Fun Fact: In September of 1991 due to unexpected circumstances, Redeemer experienced a housing accommodation shortage for the amount of students that were supposed to live on campus so the Recreation Centre was transformed into the Rec-House, a mega-dorm that held 13 upper-year female students, and dorms 1-36 housed nine students each instead of the purposed eight. |
During the time of the Rec-House the games tables were moved into the art gallery as a temporary location, but whenever there was an art show they had to be removed and stored away. As well the "fish-bowl" room, now known as the Tutoring Centre, was converted into a TV room and lounge area for the students. |
In 2013, the Recreation Centre was renovated to improve it's usability and functionality for the students. Part of the process was to remove the large stone fireplace and alter the location of the second level. |
