REL 121: From the Word to the World

A Guide to Library Resources

Need Help?

For research assistance, contact a librarian.  Students and faculty are welcome to drop in with research questions or set up in-depth research appointments with a librarian.

The Research Assistance Desk is staffed by professional librarians during business (day-time) hours Monday to Friday.

Our librarians will gladly assist you with research questions and problems, either at the Research Assistance desk or by phone or email.

Once you have found your sources, be sure to cite them correctly. Many of our databases have tools to help you cite your sources. The citation style used most often in Religion & Theology is:

  • The Chicago Style (Turabian).
    • Humanities (or "Notes & Bibliography")
    • There is also another Chicago Style (Author-Date). Do NOT use that one.

Help with citations can be found under Cite Sources on our  library website.

Students:

  • ILL books are free if available in a Canadian library
  • ILL articles are up to $3.00 each
  • allowed 5 active requests at a time
How Long do they Take?
  • allow two weeks from when you submit the ILL order, but sometimes they come sooner
